Promoting Myself to Employers: Target Market
In this post, I have looked at my target market, which is a companies or organisations that are looking for social media manager.
In this job announcement, starts with "this newly created position, the successful Social Media Manager will be responsible for leading all social integration across the brand and its existing clients, as well as playing a pivotal role in growing and driving new business across existing & new accounts. This is a superb opportunity for an ambitious Social Media Manager to develop their skills and work with a variety of high profile clients both in the UK and Internationally." On my video I started with my experience in optimize social media account, creating a short film, Development of social media strategy and stay up to date and on top of the latest trends. Then I was looking at "Key selection criteria" which is, I will compare the qualifications that the company is looking for from candidates with the qualifications that I include in the video.
Key Selection Criteria
-3-4 years’ Social Media experienceI have experience using social media for at least 6 years.
-Lead and develop all social & content strategies, integrating across existing service offering.
I have passion for developing social and content strategies skills so I am highly committed it.
-Create and deliver innovative social and digital campaigns, which will add value and content to clients campaigns
-Contribute creative ideas that enhances client delivery.
As I mentioned on my promoting video, I have experience in creative a short film which is benefit for this.
-Degree educated
-Develop existing business through organic growth and additional services.
-Clients-manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels.
I have an ability to check up all of social media platform such as Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Twitter and etc.
To sum up,After doing some research for social media managers at this company, I found that some of the qualifications matched the qualifications I had that I put on my resume. For example, 3-4 years social media experience. However, it's still not comprehensive so I think, I may have to look at more new companies to compare which one would be the best fit for me. In my future research I will look into more comparisons between companies and find the one that best meets my goals.
I think you do need more practical experience to learn more about your subject here - but hopefully you will be able to work on this at university and through perhaps an internship which would help
