George Orwell Research

George Orwell, whose real name was Eric Arthur Blair, was a British writer and journalist born on June 25, 1903, in Motihari, Bihar, India. He is best known for his novels "Nineteen Eighty-Four" and "Animal Farm," which are widely regarded as two of the most influential political novels of the 20th century.

Orwell's literary career began in earnest in the late 1920s and early 1930s, when he worked as a journalist and wrote a number of essays and articles on a wide range of topics. He is perhaps best known for his non-fiction works, such as "Homage to Catalonia" (a memoir of his experiences fighting in the Spanish Civil War) and "The Road to Wigan Pier" (a study of working-class life in northern England).Orwell's two most famous novels, "Animal Farm" (1945) and "Nineteen Eighty-Four" (1949), both reflect his political beliefs and his concerns about totalitarianism and the abuse of power. "Animal Farm" is a satirical allegory that tells the story of a group of farm animals who rebel against their human farmer and establish a socialist utopia, only to see their dreams of equality and freedom crushed by a new ruling class of pigs. "Nineteen Eighty-Four" is a dystopian novel set in a future society ruled by a totalitarian regime known as "The Party," where all individuality and dissent is suppressed and the government controls every aspect of citizens' lives.

Animal Farm (1945)

The characters in "Animal Farm" are anthropomorphic animals, with each species representing a different segment of society. The pigs, who are the most intelligent and organized animals, take control of the farm and become the ruling class, led by Napoleon and Snowball. The other animals work together to build a new society based on the principles of Animalism, but they are gradually oppressed and exploited by the pigs, who become increasingly authoritarian and corrupt.
The novel is a powerful critique of totalitarianism and propaganda, and it explores themes such as the corruption of power, the dangers of blind obedience, and the importance of individual freedom. "Animal Farm" has been widely translated and adapted for film, television, and stage, and it is considered one of the most important works of political literature of the 20th century.In this work he used allegory and dystopian fiction to explore the dangers of totalitarianism and the suppression of individual freedom. I feel that he believed that literature had the power to shape public opinion and to expose the truth, and he saw his writing as a means of fighting against oppression and injustice. After I doing my research, I found that there are many things that can be developed in my writing such as picking up real stories that happen in society to write in books to reflect the truth that happened to the readers for good results up in society.
