The Chapbook: Planning

 



What is your final idea? Please explain in two sentences the theme and the form your writing will take.
My final idea is about a girl who want to live in a new place because she want to create her new life. She expected that everything will come out beautiful but it's doesn't. 


Considering the form, how do you intend to layout your book pages?
I will separate my story in 3 chapter- for the first two chapter will be about background story and another two chapter will be about how changing her life.


How many pages do you expect there will be?
About 25 pages


Are you going to use images? Are these your own images (illustrations/photographs) or copyright free images that you will source?
I will use image from my own photograph and copyright free photograph.   


What is the plan of your time and how much you will need to spend on this?


Remember writing is something that you will need time and concentration without disturbance - you must make sure that you plan time to do this.
I plan on spending 16 hours over two weeks and I will add all process on blog.

What do you imagine the final book will look like?
I imagine the final book will look like a small book with cover page.
 


Have you considered the cover page/contents page/back cover with blurb?

No, I will use canva for cover page.


Drafting and redrafting will need to be done? Who would you get to proofread your work?
I will check my grammar and spelling on then I will give it to my friends to check it again.

Software testing : Canva

Today I am testing canva website and I am going to try a magazine template.  First of all. I opened canva website and then I log in with my google account.      Then I searched in the search box for magazines. Then after I searched that it will pop up a new window with a blank paper on the right and for left side is templates to choose.   I chose this template because the promotions of images and articles fit quite well with my work. After that, I tried to put images from my website that are free copyright images from unsplash. I clicked upload on the left hand side and then upload images from my computer. To sum up, after I tried all 3 programs: Flipsnack, Yumpu and Canva. I think all 3 programs have different advantage such as canva website it doesn't need to convert images to pdf before put on the programs. So I decided to make my online magazine on the canva website.
