Source : Jason Solomon: movie reviews Belfast
In this piece of work, Jason Solomon started writing by writing about what the films wanted to convey through the cinematography " a black and white homage to his own youth in the city, set during the escalating tensions of the summer of 1969 when troubles between Catholics and Protestants" (Jason Solomon, 2022). He analyzes what the film puts to the core of the story, which is the pivotal events that took place in 1969 and also communicates through the use of color as a black and white image as well. He also started to include his own opinion in the next paragraph, where he talked about the performance of the lead actor and he also talked about his feeling about this movie. The word that he used to write on were quite easy to understand. This is because he did not use the film specialise words but he used a normal words also he did not used that much formal words so that means people with different age range can access to his work easy. His articles are concise and clear so that makes his works not boring. Moreover, he mentioned that the actress's accent made the character more soft and innocent. In other words, he is saying that it is not only the acting that is important but that the accent and voice tone have an effect on the character. Finally, his closing sentence was more recommended this movie that another movie "If you want toughness, see a film like ’71, but for memory and warmth Belfast is more than all right, a love letter to a poisonous time." (Jason Solomon, 2022). I chose his review because he is a film critic, producer and presenter, so that means he have a lot of experience about movies and entertainment. I want to know how he write a film reviews, what style that he use to write a reviews and what style of language that he use.
After I researched Jason Solomon movie reviews has shown me many interesting point in his work that I can apply to my own film review project such as, start writing by analysing what the films wants to offer primarily through film-making. For example the main colour of the movie or mood and tone of the story. I will add my opinion about movie as him too and I will talk about what is the benefit of this movie that another romantic movies not have or I will add a negative aspect of this movie which is base on my point of views. In addition, I will use a normal word and a words that easy to understand and people can easily access to my film review.
As for The Week website, they are different as follows.

As for The Week website, they are different as follows.
The Week started the writing by including an interview with Kevin Maher about the film for The Times, followed by why Belfast set in the city in 1969 also included who was inspired by. In addition, it tells a short synopsis of the movie "Buddy, a Protestant growing up in a “warm and garrulous family”, whose carefree childhood is shattered when a “loyalist mob” rampages through their peaceful, largely Protestant community, “smashing windows and screaming: ‘Catholics out!”’ A loyalist enforcer then demands that Buddy’s father (Jamie Dornan) either “join the Catholic-bashing or face terrifying retribution”. It can be seen that it tells the story of the main part of the film or it may be the turning point of the story. Then also talked about the scene of the movie, the highlight of the story and talked about the use of black and white. At the end it was written that the film received a wonderful score From Van Morrison. The obvious difference is that this review is more detailed, has a longer article length, plus the addition of a synopsis to the review which I think is a very interesting thing to bring. This is because if there is only a review articles without an example or story to join, it may cause the reader to not be able to think accordingly.
