Research about Andre Aciman

After I decided to do a movie review " Call me by your name", so I wanted to research about the writer of this movie, André Aciman. I researched him because I wanted to know what he was thinking when he was writing the opus "What's the matter?" I want to know his feelings or his imagination, as well as the image he puts in which direction the movie should come out.

According to Andre aciman interview with The guardian. When he started writing a script he thought "I was dreaming about being in an imaginary Italian villa overlooking the sea. It was a real-estate fantasy: a swimming pool, a tennis court, wonderful family and friends, plus the attendant personnel: a cook, a gardener and a driver. I had even picked the house from a painting by Claude Monet." (Aciman, 2021) 

It can be seen that he had imagined the atmosphere of the story before he started writing what kind of atmosphere and tone he wanted to haveMoreover, when he was writing the script, he enjoyed writing the story. He enjoyed exploring the fantasy world with his writing. He can feel the atmosphere that he wrote about. The end of the interview he said this was irresistible because it was exactly like love. I fell in love with Elio, I fell in love with Oliver, fell in love with their love and with this whole new world I was cobbling together minute by minute." (Aciman, 2021) This is because he was so infatuated with the characters in the stories he created, thus giving him the drive to keep writing them.

After studying his interviews, I feel that it is very important to imagine the atmosphere when writing something, so I will incorporate that into my writing.  This movie has an atmosphere like visiting a landscape in Italy in the 80's.  Understanding the feelings of the characters in the story and then write them into my writings.

I learned that I should have a feeling with my writings. Let's think about the atmosphere, what I am grafting on so that it can be conveyed to the writings. Imagine yourself in this movie and note the information as if going somewhere and then come back with told about atmosphere stories, what I see and the main point that I found.
